Meet the Founder
Love Led, and Obedience Followed.
For nearly seventeen years, I built a career at the United Nations that I genuinely loved. I was blessed with meaningful work, wonderful colleagues, and a remarkably bright future. I loved the Lord, my family, my friends, and my work. My life was full, and I had every reason to stay.
When my precious daughter, Eliana, died, I entered a depth of grief I could never have imagined. In that valley, Jesus found me and saved me. And in saving me, He saved our family. I had known His voice before, but it was there that I truly learned to recognize it, trust His promises, and discover the joy and peace of simply being in His presence. The more I knew Him, the more I wanted to follow Him. Not because I had to, but because I loved Him.
For years, I had prayed for the harvest, asking the Lord to send more workers and to let me be one of them. Never in a million years could I have imagined His answer.
“Go make your bag.”
I knew nothing about fashion or building a luxury House. But the Creator of the universe was inviting me to create with Him. So I did what any logical person would do. I said yes. Much of this journey has felt like Noah building the ark, looking a little crazy while trusting the One who gave the instruction.
Then came the hardest yes. Surrendering the career and life I loved. The United Nations was all I had known professionally. The day I laid my career at the foot of the cross, a big part of me died with it. Like a seed falling to the ground, I didn't know what would take root. I only knew the One who was asking.
I didn't leave because I loved my career less, or because blowing up a life I loved sounded like a great idea. I left because I loved Jesus more.
And what was I stepping into? Luxury handbags! An industry filled with giants. I am David with a stone, but my confidence is not in the stone. It is in the God who specializes in the impossible.
Maison Veni is the fruit of that yes. What began as a simple canvas tote has become a House of fine Italian craftsmanship, born from a love for the Lord and a desire to see His Gospel carried to the ends of the earth.
I don't know all that He has planned, but I know Him. My life continues to be His, and my hands remain surrendered to His purpose.
Maison Veni is because of Him and for Him. All for His glory.
